It’s fitting, then, that the illustration of the development be each a device an artist may use – a pen – and an objet d’art decorated with visual representations of St Moritz itself. To brighten the barrels, Montegrappa’s designers have chosen three historic posters to illustrate the scope of St Moritz’s sights, each and every symbol hand-painted by artist Lorena Straffi. The pens are shaped from celluloid, a pricey subject material comprised of cotton fibre mixed with natural pigments and mother-of-pearl, and are additional decorated with either sterling silver or 18K gold.
