Montegrappa has collaborated closely with the Gibran National Committee, and renowned Lebanese artist Katja Traboulsy within the creation of this homage to Gibran’s legacy. The GNC used to be established in Bsharreh, to offer protection to and continue his legacy after his death, and Montegrappa is supporting the Gibran legacy via this project with a donation to the GNC for Each and every pen sold. The pens are fabricated from resin in a color paying homage to the blue, black and gray distinguished in Gibran’s paintings. This wealthy, dark hue is accented with palladium plated trim, whilst the fountain pen nib is 2 tone 18K solid gold and bears the famous face believed by many to be Gibran’s final self-portrait. All pens feature a pocket clip within the type of a hand with a solitary Sapphire set as the attention at the open palm, named the Divine World by Gibran himself. The face adorning the nib and the palm moulded into the clip are probably the most recognised visual references of Gibran’s art [images inset or on opposite page]. The bottom of the cap is inscribed with the creator’s signature, and the highest of the cap bears the logo of a ‘Ok’ overlaid on a ‘G’, a logo found within the corner of many of Gibran’s paintings, his own private emblem. In honour of the year of the birth of this mythical creator, the Kahlil Gibran restricted edition is composed of 1883 examples Each and every of fountain pens, roller balls and ball point pens.
