Hooker Furniture uses moderately chosen solid wood and make a choice wood veneers over durable wood products in our furniture construction. Use of veneers enables more decorative looks inconceivable with solid wood. Veneers are used over durable wood products such as medium density fiberboard (MDF) and particle board, manufactured from renewable resources. MDF and particle board are utilized in quality furniture for areas that wish to be stable, such as large surfaces. These durable wood products don’t expand and contract with heat and cold and don’t soak up moisture as much as solid wood, which leads to stronger and longer-lasting furniture. Hooker Furniture utilizes a more than one-step finish process of as much as 16 finish steps. This ends up in an unsurpassed clarity, depth and color richness and sturdiness to our finishes.
