Translated from Latin as “the law”, LEX is a tribute to the duration of the introduction of written law in ancient Rome. Delta provides LEX as a Restricted edition and a different edition. The numbered, Restricted edition of 754 items is crafted in casein, a substance of natural protein origin that was once a well-liked selection for pen making within the early to mid twentieth century. The ivory-coloured end has a refined pinstripe development and a heat, pleasing feel within the hand. The LEX clip is adorned with a scale of justice brand in rhodium-plated metal on black enamel. The rhodium cap ring is engraved with a Greek fret development set within a black resin band. The LEX fountain pen is fitted with a button-filler mechanism and Delta’s patented FUSION nib in steel and 18K gold. Made with a “plate” of gold over steel, it complements the chemical-physical properties of ink, making it go with the flow more smoothly.
